Origami at Landa!

Today during Landa Teen Scene, I showed the other teens how to do origami.  Origami is the art of folding and manipulating paper to create a three- dimensional figure.  We chose from a broad range of colors in order to make our paper creations colorful and lively.  Landa Teens learned how to fold the paper into lillies and cranes.    Though the paper lily seems complex, it’s actually very simple, with only 3-4 folds repeated throughout.  After the flower we moved on to paper cranes.  The cranes are more difficult to fold because of the many steps, and the precision required.  Teens had a lot of interest and fun with the origami, and I really enjoyed teaching the art of paper folding.
