Marbelized paper art with Thousand Oaks teens

With just a few inexpensive supplies from the grocery and the craft store, Thousand Oaks teens created some beautiful marblelized papers. 

First, we mixed liquid starch and powdered alum (available at the grocery store), then swirled in our favorite colors:

Next, we placed the paper on top:

Rinsed off the starch . . . .

And look what we made:
