Cooking with the Thousand Oaks Teens

Thousand Oaks teens made some tasty holiday treats!  We made bird’s nest cookies in the microwave.  Yum!  

Everyone chose their favorite chips.  Gigi used a combination of white chocolate, butterscotch, and peanut  butter.

Then we melted them in the microwave. . .

Next we added chow mein noodles. . .

Getting the noodles evenly coated is the hardest part.

Then we put spoonfuls on waxed paper, and put them in the refrigerator for a few minutes to harden.
