Downton Abbey Tea Party at Landa

P1020777This evening at Landa Library, the teens gathered together and had an old fashioned tea party with orange spice, vanilla, and hibiscus tea in porcelain tea cups and saucers, as well as cookies, red velvet cupcakes, and delicious truffles. We had a lot of fun with the card games, chess, and chinese checkers.
But this was just the beginning. The inspiration for this tea party started from our love of the hit PBS show, “Downton Abbey”. Everyone agreed that this would be a good idea, so we began planning and one of the librarians graciously lent her mother’s wedding china. We searched for ideas and recipes.
We shared laughs, stories, and memories, and this will not be the last tea party, so we hope you’ll join us next time!

  1. Wish my library had had something like this when I was in high school. My friends and I would have flipped for it.
