Teen review: “Peter and the Starcatchers” by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson

Everyone knows the classic tale of Peter Pan and his adventures in Neverland, but have you ever wondered how such an odd group of people could end up on such a deserted island? In “Peter and the Starcatchers,” everything is explained, starting with an orphan boy named Peter and his orphan companions, who are put on a ship with a mysterious girl and an even more mysterious chest. After the ship is attacked by pirates, the boys and Molly must protect the secret of the chest and the magical starstuff it holds within. Through a series of action-packed events, Peter and the island gain magical properties well known to all. I enjoyed watching the plot unfold through this series of books and seeing how Neverland came to be. I hope you enjoy it, too!
