Top 10 books not to read if you don’t like crying

1. Looking for Alaska by John Green (he’s a personal favorite of mine, however this isn’t his best book)

2. Fault in Our Stars by John Green, actually no, it’s a wonderful book and even though it’ll rip your heart into a million pieces you should definitely read it

3. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, I have a serious beef with this book because it felt like an extremely anticlimactic ending to the series and it’s terribly depressing

4. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher

5. The Chaos Walking Series by Patrick Ness, I actually really liked these books because you could never guess what was going to happen and the character development was incredible. But it will make you cry. A lot.

6. The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray, most of the time it’s not very sad but Libba Bray knows how to break your heart

7. The Benny Imura Series by Jonathan Maberry, absolutely incredible books but like any zombie apocalypse not everyone can survive

8. Gone Series by Michael Grant, maybe it’s a little less sad and a little more disturbing

9. Maximum Ride by James Patterson, the books themselves aren’t sad but the slow destruction of a very good concept and a likable character is rather sad

10. Harry Potter, but only if you grew up with it, I seriously doubt the ending of an era will be as sad for someone who didn’t

    Seriously awesome….. !

  2. Hey, what happened to Lupin and Tonks was tragic. Tragic I tell you. I agree with you on the first one; I love John Green but wasn’t over the moon about Looking For Alaska.
