Teen Review: “Dream Girl” by Lauren Mechling

Claire Voyante is an extraordinary girl with a gift, living in a quirky but lovable household. For as long as she can remember, Claire has had dreams that lead her to a clue, but she always end up being wrong. That is until her fashionable grandmother, Kiki, gives her a white cameo necklace. Soon enough, Claire is having visions again, but this time they are clearer. The visions tell her of a danger coming to her newfound friend, Becca Shuttleworth, and her surprisingly wealthy family. Claire must learn to understand her visions and help Becca and her family against a sinister plot on top of getting through the insufferable high school she has recently started to attend. “Dream Girl” is a quirky romance/mystery novel with delightful characters and a fast-paced plot, all done in a fashionable way. I hope you are swept away with this exciting yet charming book.
