Teen Review: “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight” by Jennifer E. Smith

If not for a series of setbacks in getting to the airport on time, Hadley Sullivan would never have missed her flight to the most dreaded wedding. She also would have never met cute, funny, charming Oliver. Hadley is being forced to attend her father’s weding in London to a woman she has never met. She cannot think of a more miserable day, but because of Oliver, her stressful, long plane ride becomes almost enjoyable. Oliver is English, but he is attending college in America, not far from where Hadley lives. His lively jokes and fun speculations keep you entertained the whole book. Set within 24 hours, this fast-paced novel shows how one minute your life could be heading somewhere, only to go careening off in an entirely different direction. Reading all of the different circumstances leading to the meeting of Hadley and Oliver is entirely interesting. I hope you enjoy it, too!
