Igo “Starbooks Cafe” K-Pop

Asian Pop Culture Music

One thing I am passionate about is music. We cannot avoid music; the more we attempt to get rid of it, the tighter it ends up grasping us.  I play violin, but I also like  K- pop.  When I tell people I listen to K-pop, immediately a picture of Psy’s Gangman  Style rushes to their minds. However, there is much more to Korean pop music than what most people know. In fact, it is so popular that in 2012, TIME magazine named the K-pop industry in South Korea its greatest export.  K-pop is a mix of all the popular music in South Korea; it also has a much more audiovisual aspect to it than the pop music we are familiar with.
