Landa Teen Readers’ League: New Online Book Club
The Landa Library was fortunate enough to receive a collection of the Top 25 Teen Books selected by YALSA. To make the most wonderful use of these books as we can, an online book club, also known as the Readers’ League, is being started.
While a majority of the Readers’ League conversation will be online, there will be occasional meetings and social events where we can get together to maybe have iced tea/coffee and discuss the books or just advocate for reading in the community.
Of course any book club wouldn’t function without club members or books. This is a call to all teen readers! Anyone who wants to join this online book club can either comment below, email Ms. Bea Canales (firstname.lastname@example.org) or stop by the Landa Library to speak with her in person.
Along with the process of rounding up members, the first book we’d be reading has yet to be selected. I figured all of the future members could have a say in what they’d be reading!
Attached is the list of the 25 books and their brief summaries. In whichever manner of communication you choose, pick a book either you would like to read, or a book that you think would suit group conversations. My name is Alejandra Young and would love to see this book club turn into something great 🙂
