Visit from Junior Review Committee

This past Sunday, the Landa Library Tutoring Program received a visit from the Junior Review Committee, which is a part of the Silver and Black Give Back Foundation.  Megan and I talked about the goals of the tutoring program and how the grant has benefited us.  Landa teens had the honor of participating in this year’s Team Up Challenge; on July 7th, 2014, the children’s shelter of San Antonio joined us at Landa for a day full of writing workshops and lots of fun!  This was a magnificent opportunity, and we also received a grant that will go towards resources for the tutoring program.  In fact, we just received many new science experiment materials for our monthly science demonstrations.

Science demonstrations are every first Sunday of the month at 2:00.

Tutoring (grades k-5)  is every Sunday from 2:30-3:30pm.
