Teen Review: “The Darkness Dwellers” by Kristen Miller

In the third book of the Kiki Strike series, the Irregulars aid their leader in reclaiming her throne and taking out her evil aunt and cousin. Kiki, unfortunately, is kidnapped while in Paris. With the help of two young men who are hoping to soon become members of the Parisian Darkness Dwellers, similar to the Irregulars, and Kiki’s team, a plan is devised. A hair growth formula is made as a bargaining chip for Kiki because Kiki’s cousin is most terrified of a genetic hair loss trait. But all of this hinges on if mild-mannered Betty, who has volunteered to journey to Paris for the handoff, will prevail. On top of all of this, Oona’s crazy sister is destroying her reputation. Can the Irregulars handle all of this drama? But most importantly, is Betty ready for this mission of royal importance?
