Parman Teen Review: “Four: A Divergent Collection” by Veronica Roth

This novel, an addition to my favorite series by Veronica Roth, offers an insightful point of view: that of Four, or Tobias Eaton – the mentor, friend, boyfriend, and counterpart of our protagonist, Beatrice “Tris” Prior. I enjoyed this collection because it clarifies background information on Four that helps the reader understand the behavior and mentality the submissive child that eventually found his escape in another faction, which helped him develop into a strong man. It also lets us peek into Four’s head, and his thoughts differ from that of Tris’s and gives the reader the other side of the story. Four: A Divergent Collection is an excellent wrap-up for the Divergent series, but I would only recommend reading it after you finish the series.
