Parman Teen Book Review:“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by Ransom Riggs

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is one of the most unique novels I have ever read, with a fascinating story line and authentic, black-and-white photographs that complement the plot. This novel is about a teenager named Jacob who discovers his true identity after his grandfather’s mysterious death. Jacob enters a world of peculiar children with strange abilities that essentially make them outcasts from the rest of the world, as they are persecuted by “normal” human beings. In the end, Jacob is faced with a daunting choice: stay with the peculiar children, who understand and accept him, or return to his family, who will love him unconditionally. Overall, this is an entertaining and suspenseful novel, and will probably be unlike any other book you have ever read.
